If you have an indicator light that is yellow or red:
– Yellow light means that it is due for maintenance:
Like the check engine light on your car, call the office to schedule maintenance. It will go through several weekly exercise cycles before it will eventually turn into a red light and shut down.
–Red light = Open the hood to the generator and check the display on the control board
-Write down the LED information and error code – this will help our technician determine what the problem is.
The more information you can give us, the better. Do not be afraid to start the generator manually by going from the auto mode to the off mode and then to the manual mode.
If you have a red indicator light:
– Open the generator cover
-Go to the off mode on the controller (toggle switch says auto-off-manual)
– Hit enter twice on the control board
** If this does not clear the red light, try it a 2nd time
- If the red light clears, go to manual mode, and the generator should start
- Run your generator for a short time and then put it back in auto mode

Generator Runs But Doesn’t Transfer Over
– Transfer switch (big gray box) next to Meter Socket / Panel
-Yellow Lever Stick it in, Pull lever down
(then schedule time with our office to see why it doesn’t transfer)
To Simulate Outage
– Turn off the main breaker in transfer switch
-In approximately 30 seconds, the generator will start, and power will transfer to the generator
power
-Run about 5 minutes
-Turn the transfer switch breaker back on
– The main power will switch back on
-The generator will run up to 5 minutes on a cool down cycle
For error code 2800:
This is an auxiliary shutdown alarm. It is caused by the external shutdown switch being shut off. They are located on the back side of the unit and one inside on the firewall. They must be on for the unit to run. Once switched back on, -turn generator off (toggle switch)
-turn the auxiliary switch on (on back of generator and/or inside on firewall) some have 2 -hit “enter” then “enter” again -put the generator back to auto
